Welcome to Lazy Oak Farm!
Whether you're new to the farming/homesteading life (like us) or a seasoned pro, we're excited to share our journey with you. We started down this path in 2017, when we decided we were tired of the traffic, noise and hassles of living in an increasingly crowded area. We were ready to start living life on our own terms! And so we went all in: buying more than 12 acres in (approximately) the middle of nowhere and building our "forever" home. (No more moving for us!) Now that our home is built, we've found all kinds of projects to do, both outdoors and in. Feel free to poke around and check out some of our adventures. Things don't always go smoothly from the start, but we haven't regretted our decision to embrace farm life for a minute.
The Farm
There's a lot you can do with 12 acres of land. But, the sandy soil of central Florida can be unforgiving. In this section, we offer a glimpse of life on the farm and the lessons we're learning along the way.

We designed our house from the ground up to have the space and functionality we need, but that doesn't mean our work here is done. In this section, we share snapshots of our home construction and other projects.
